French software distributor "Europe Shareware" opens its first American online store on Monday 23 July. Europe Shareware is a non-commercial organisation that not only distributes software, but also protects and advises developers on patent and copyright rights. The American branch will offer the complete range, which includes titles for Atari, Macintosh and Java.
"Europe Shareware North America", while closely linked to the French founders, operates independently and aims to address specific requests from customers. North American software authors are still being sought who would like to distribute their programs through ESNA. The Atari catalogue is very extensive and improves the distribution of Atari software in America. It includes a large part of the ASH software range. The head of the North American branch is the Canadian Bengy Collins, also known as the operator of the online service "MagiC Online". (tr)
